Helen Barff

Location: Close Ltd, Hatch Beauchamp, TA3 ^AE

'I Wrap My Fear Around Me Like A Blanket' is at Close Ltd in Hatch Beauchamp and at the Taunton Brewhouse.

Helen Barff is a sculptor who is investigating 'safe spaces' both metaphorically and physically. This exhibition will take the form of a split site. Close Ltd are showing her sensitive and evocative sculptures which manifest in castings of clothing inspired by memory and the people that inhabited them. Taunton Brewhouse will explore World War II pillboxes and imagined places of refuge. She has been working with the cross-generational communities of Somerset to present this inspirational and emotional work.
