Skye Shadowlight
Skye Shadowlight (b.1974) is a rootin' tootin' Texan artist living and working in West Yorkshire. A modern day storyteller with lots of stories to tell. Skye builds large scale installations which are sometimes mimic "movie sets" and makes sculpture from found objects that have been likened to "props'. Skye often creates characters and performs within and even "activates" the spaces from which they were spawned. The work questions systems, challenges injustice and confronts abuses of power and control. Skye creates physical work, live performance and film.

Annie Harrison
Annie Harrison is interested in the way that place shapes identity and becomes the repository of memory. She will be sharing some past work and relating it to her current project ‘Ebb and Flow’ an art walk from her home in Mytholmroyd along the river network to Hull.
Annie is an artist and researcher based in Mytholmroyd. Her work explores the connections between space, place and memory and the way identity is created through connection with place. In previous projects she has explored working class experience in the industrial city, and since moving to the Calder Valley her work has focused on the local landscape.
Between August 2021 and March 2022, Annie and her partner, art historian Bob Gaunt, did a 14 stage art walk from their home along the river network to Hull. In this presentation, she will be sharing some past work and showing how the common themes have surfaced in this current project, ‘Ebb and Flow’.
