DeSchooling Society
2016Workshop
http://www.antiuniversity.org/Deschooling-Society
The Greek 'schol?' (school) means leisure employed in learning. How can we foster and support a more radical ethical alternative to the systems we have now and create shared spaces to have conversations.
Can we re-claim real learning, rather than competition or hierarchy?
Using the iconic Ivan Illich argument and book as a starting point, this workshop will explore how might we as artists share our learning and challenge our privilege and the elitism of certification, in order to develop a more fair, accessible and equal society.
We will work in small groups to explore these questions and develop ideas to take forward .
