My practice consists of collecting organic materials from my local environment and working with them along with other materials such as thread or re-cycled paper to create unique works of art, not far removed from their original condition. Through simple interventions I work to create both balance and tension between material and construction. My works are often evident in their process and I make a conscious decision to make apparent where human intervention has occurred.

Philosophically I believe time to have always existed and therefore I do not view my work as ‘finished’ works of art, but rather as sculptural objects in a transitory arrangement. The pieces themselves have the potential to be reworked or reorganised and are in this way temporary along with the ephemeral quality of the materials used.
