I strive to use locations, angles, and lighting to produce photographs which highlight the grain and imperfections of the subject. Subsequently, when layering and printing my designs, I seek to maintain that truth rather than producing perfect illustrations.
1992 - 2021 I had a full time career in the software industry, developing user applications and helping to grow individuals and teams within a number of companies and business sectors.
Throughout my education and career I've had music and art as core passions. I played guitar in a number of bands and actively gigged the pubs of London.
2017 - I attended a number of courses related to screen printing, linocut, sculpting and glass making.
2021/2022 - I created a home studio space for screen printing and have persued that as my main creative outlet.
March 2022 - I created my 'Bleach Skull Picnic' brand and promoted my work via related Instagram, Etsy and bleachskullpicnic.com sites.
April 2022 - Under the Bleach Skull Picnic moniker, I had my artwork accepted by Kinda Weird Magazine and displayed over 6 pages within volume 2.
June 2022 - I had my first solo exhibition of prints at the Brouhaha in Green Lanes, London.
Previously, the venue had blank walls and I worked with the owners to create a dedicated exhibition space which is now used to display the work of local artists on a continuous basis.
September 2022 - I exhibited a larger range of my work at 'Jam In a Jar' in Green Lanes, again working with the owners to promote the space.
Both shows were a great success and I am very proud to have played a part in establishing the Brouhaha as venue for local artists. Since then I have delivered a couple of commission pieces and continue to sell pieces via my Etsy site.
