I am always interested in understanding the relationship I have with the world I live in, in what is the purpose of being here and having a consciousness. What intrigue me are the obscured, the unsaid, and the unknown. Quite often I use them as the theme for my work, but without expecting it to resolve or to find anything that is worth mentioning.
I think making work is like taking a journey, a journey of no destination. The aim is not about the arrival, rather, it is about the encounters, the discoveries and most of all, the experiences gathered on the way.
I suppose perspective of life changes with age. Mine is a bit more reflective now: to navigate, negotiate and to explore the space between the lightness of being a human and the weight of a consciousness which bears witness to my being here.
