The paintings and drawings of Tamsin Morse depict moments of fragility and vulnerability in womanhood; teenagers in a state of liminality; pitfalls and confusion in the role of the modern life and, currently relevant, the urge to be loved and held.  The paintings are composed from fractured drawings and poses from life and found images from which she forms composition and themes.  The semi translucent paintings reflect the temporality of the subject matter by revealing the layers of underpainting.  They encapsulate the sensitivity and succulent feel of paint and the spontaneity and movement of drawing which is an important entity in her work.
