Save the Date! Social Works? Live

Social Works? Open launch at the Social Art Summit, Site Gallery, November 2018

Published: 01 February 2019

Following the success of last year’s Social Works? workshop series and journal publication, the ‘Models of Validation’ team at Axisweb / MMU are delighted to announce a new event, Social Works? Live at Manchester School of Art on April 26th 2019.

The event will take the form of a social art festival / exchange and ‘live publication’ session. Artists will have the opportunity to propose an activity of participation and exchange, including - but not limited to - setting up a stall or pitch within the venue. It is hoped that the activities and questions explored during the event will provide the basis for the second edition of the Social Works? journal.

As an aspect of this, Axisweb / MMU will host the live co-creation of a paper prototype of the prospective social arts validation platform - we would be enormously grateful for your ideas, thoughts and feedback as we develop this new resource. We also hope to include Q&As with commissioners / funders and a ‘live’ skills exchange / collaboration forum.

Key information for your diaries!
